White Harvest Farms
White Harvest Farms (WHF) is a 10.5 acre urban farm located in Historic Moncrief Springs. We are a food sustainability initiative launched by the Clara White Mission, a nonprofit dedicated to feeding, training and housing the homeless and veteran population in Jacksonville since 1904. WHF is committed to regenerative, biological farming practices and is a resource to other farms in NE Florida and community members. It is also committed to educating the community through agricultural training programs like our beekeeping internship, Youth in Agriculture program, Urban Homesteading workshops, and the WHF community garden. While the farm focuses on advocacy programs to eliminate food deserts and increase conservation efforts in NW Jacksonville it has become an attraction for agrotourism. Visitors can enjoy tours that allow them to explore urban homesteading in a new and adventurous way. Some highlights include the Community Apiary, Moncrief Creek and the Monarch butterfly conservation site. WHF is a great place to take Instagram worthy photos. This season we have a sunflower field blooming and roselle. Sunsets at White Harvest Farms make visitors feel like they have been transported to a remote destination secluded by trees and lush vegetation. Bird watching is a favorite pass time for many visitors.
